This Privacy Policy explains how ALLCHARGEX PRIVATE LIMITED ("AllCharge", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you use the AllCharge mobile application on Android and iOS (the "App"), our website, and any related services (together, the "Services").
By using the Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide to us
- Account information: your name, mobile number, email address and password or one-time password (OTP) used to create and access your account.
- Vehicle information: details you add about your electric vehicle, such as make, model, connector type and a nickname for the vehicle.
- Waitlist information: the email address you submit when you join our waitlist on the website.
- Support communications: information you share when you contact us, report an issue or give feedback.
Information collected when you use the Services
- Location data: your device's precise or approximate location, when you grant permission, to show nearby charging stations, provide directions and start charging sessions.
- Charging and transaction data: charging stations used, session start and end times, energy consumed, amounts paid, wallet top-ups, refunds and transaction history.
- Device and technical data: device model, operating system version, app version, language, IP address, and unique device or advertising identifiers.
- Usage and diagnostic data: how you interact with the App (screens viewed, features used), crash reports and performance logs, used to improve reliability.
Information from third parties
- Charging network partners: session status, pricing and charger availability from charge point operators whose networks you access through AllCharge.
- Payment providers: confirmation of payment success or failure and limited transaction references. We do not receive or store your full card number, CVV or UPI PIN.
2. How we use your information
We use your personal data for the following purposes:
- To create and manage your account and verify your identity.
- To show nearby charging stations, real-time availability and pricing across multiple networks.
- To start, monitor and stop charging sessions and to process payments, wallet balances and refunds.
- To send service notifications such as session updates, receipts, security alerts and important changes to the Services.
- To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
- To notify waitlist members when the App launches and share product updates (you can unsubscribe at any time).
- To analyse usage, fix bugs and improve the performance and features of the Services.
- To detect, prevent and investigate fraud, abuse and security incidents.
- To comply with applicable laws, regulations and lawful requests from authorities.
We process personal data on the basis of your consent, to perform our contract with you, and where required to comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data.
3. App permissions
The App may request the following device permissions. You can allow or deny them, and change your choice at any time in your device settings. Denying a permission may limit some features.
- Location: to find chargers near you and provide navigation.
- Camera: to scan QR codes on charging stations, only when you choose to scan.
- Notifications: to send charging session updates and account alerts.
We do not access your contacts, photos, microphone or other personal files unless a feature clearly requires it and you grant permission.
4. How we share information
We share personal data only as described below:
- Charging network operators: the minimum information needed to authorise and complete a charging session on their chargers (for example, session identifiers and billing details).
- Payment gateways and banks: to process payments, wallet top-ups and refunds securely.
- Service providers: trusted vendors who host our infrastructure, provide analytics, crash reporting, customer support, email and SMS/OTP delivery, and who process data only on our instructions. For example, waitlist emails submitted on our website are stored using Google services.
- Legal and safety: when required by law, court order or government request, or to protect the rights, property or safety of AllCharge, our users or the public.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this Privacy Policy continuing to apply to your data.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
5. Payments and wallet
Payments in the App are processed by RBI-compliant third-party payment gateways. Card, UPI and net-banking credentials are entered on and handled by those providers under their own security standards (such as PCI-DSS). AllCharge stores only the transaction reference, amount, status and wallet balance needed to provide the Services and maintain accounting records.
6. Data retention
We keep your personal data only for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we must keep certain records for longer to comply with legal, tax, accounting or regulatory obligations (for example, transaction records), to resolve disputes or to prevent fraud. Waitlist emails are kept until the App launches or until you ask us to remove them.
7. Data security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls limited to authorised personnel, and secure cloud infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a personal data breach that affects you, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
8. Your rights and choices
Subject to applicable law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India), you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you and receive a summary of how it is processed.
- Correct or update inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
- Request erasure of your personal data.
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal.
- Opt out of marketing communications using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.
- Nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity.
- Raise a grievance with us and, if unresolved, with the Data Protection Board of India.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in the Contact us section. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request.
9. Account and data deletion
You can request deletion of your AllCharge account and associated personal data at any time by either:
- Using the Delete Account option in the App's account settings, or
- Emailing us at adil@allchargex.com from your registered email address, with the subject line "Delete my account".
Once your request is verified, we will delete your account and personal data within 30 days, except for information we are legally required to retain as described in Data retention. Any unused wallet balance will be handled as per our refund terms before deletion.
10. Children's privacy
The Services are intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. Data storage and transfers
Your data is primarily stored on secure servers located in India. Some of our service providers may process data in other countries. Where this happens, we take steps to ensure your data remains protected in line with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.
12. Third-party links and services
The Services may contain links to, or integrations with, third-party websites and services (such as charging network operators, maps and payment providers). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we encourage you to review them. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third parties.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the App, by email or by updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Services after the changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
